Scottish Rotarians visit SpearfishNBH Rotarians enjoyed lunching with District 1020 Scottish Rotarians from Larbert, Castle Douglas, Whitburn and Livingston at Redwater Cafe on August 19. We were intrigued to learn about Scotland's Falkirk Wheel that connects two canals that flow at different altitudes, and they were fascinated to meet our real Wyoming cattle rancher, Nels Smith. This trip was facilitated by Rotary's Friendship Exchange program which undergirds Rotary's "International" focus. And despite the Scottish "burr," we didn't need a translator ;-) |

September 11 - Day of Remembrance/Day of ServiceThe Northern Hills Rotary Club is inviting you to join us Friday, September 11th @ noon for a “Day of Service and Remembrance”. Rotary is sponsoring a community picnic at the park on North 3rd St and Nash (meal catered by Cheyenne Crossing). Our Rotary mission is SERVICE ABOVE SELF and this event is celebrating those who serve our Northern Hills communities. In the event of rain, we will move to the BHSU Joy Center on St. Joe St. This is a free community event.

Good Shepherd Clinic DonationLast night five of us were able to present $500 to the Good Shepherd Clinic. The best part of this was a tour of the clinic. They do an excellent job and they were so thankful for our grant to them.

International Project: HaitiAn International Project is a go for Northern Hills Rotary. We are able to bring 12 people to help with this project. Kids Against Hunger Event in BH Pioneer |
Proud to be a NH RotarianI want to take just a few minutes to say thanks to everyone who came and helped pack meals for Kids Against Hunger. We had a great and energetic group. it was so fun to work with over 35 kids from the After School Program. We had a lot of others helping us from businesses and from BH. Everyone worked together so well and we packed close to 17,500 meals.
I am not sure you know how timely this effort was The meals we packed will be leaving for Nepal this weekend.
