A District 5610 matching grant allowed Spearfish-Northern Black Hills Rotary to provide 140 $25 vouchers to purchase plants at the Beautify Spearfish/SDSU Native Plant Initiative 2026 Native Plant Sale & Educational Program supporting the City of Spearfish’s #BeeCityUSA certification.
130 vouchers were redeemed, meaning that $3,250 worth of native plants will be going into the ground in and around Spearfish, creating valuable habitat for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife while helping beautify our community.
Every native plant planted is a small step toward healthier ecosystems, stronger pollinator populations, and a more resilient landscape for future generations.
