On July 7, eight Spearfish-Northern Black Hills Rotarians collaborated with the VA Ft. Meade Medical Center Purchasing Department and Spearfish Karl's TV & Appliance to collect over 20 wheelchairs and 20 walkers to donate to Hope Haven International.
Much of the equipment was brand-new in the box. The equipment almost filled a 24-foot flatbed trailer. The items were donated by the VA, loaded and transported by the Rotarians, then shipped by Karl's TV & Appliance to its Sioux Falls facility where Hope Haven International will collect them to be custom-fitted for their new owners overseas. What a rewarding day!
