Ten Rotarians rose bright and early on July 11 to man Refreshment Station #5 for the 40th Annual NH CASA Half Marathon.
Armed with squirt guns, water, Gatorade, and pickle juice, we cheerfully greeted and refreshed over 700 participants running the half marathon and 5K races. Despite a chilly 53 degrees at the beginning of the half-marathon route, runners suffered through 90+-degree temperatures as they navigated the course down Spearfish Canyon. After re-stocking with more water and Gatorade, we were able to quench the thirst of every campaigner.
