Corey Kennedy is responsible for setting up Peer2Peer Mentorship programming as well as helping to establish mental health and suicide prevention education and policies for staff and students at Black Hills area colleges. Corey Kennedy worked in family-oriented services for over 22 years through his time as a Youth Leader for United Methodist Churches. He was also part of helping fathers find their way to being involved in their children’s lives through the Fatherhood First Initiative. For 14 years, he was the Director for Family Services and the Boys Health Program at Youth and Family Services, and he helped mentor, educate, and guide families and their children to a brighter tomorrow. “I have witnessed trauma and the destruction it can cause personally, and I have dedicated my life to learning about support education and providing that knowledge to make change and provide hope,” Kennedy says. He enjoys spending time with his family and soaking up the sun in the beautiful Black Hills, whether on a bicycle, hiking, kayaking or just hammocking with a book. |

Tour of Center of the Nation Wool Warehouse in Belle Fourche
May 10, 2023 12:00 PM
That is a whole lot of wool. And this warehouse operates with just 6 employees. You won't see any sheep here, they're sheared at the producers ranches. What you will see is stack after stack of white nylon wrapped bales, each filled with the wool of 40-50 animals. Each bale weighs 400-500 pounds. |
