Author of American Storybook

As the nation reflects on its history during America’s 250th anniversary, award-winning author and Black Hills native Tod Christensen returns to his roots. Known to readers as "The Life Poet," Christensen will conduct a book-signing tour during the second week of July to celebrate his latest release, American Storybook.

Through the lens of family, faith, perseverance, and the small-town American West, American Storybook invites readers of all ages to celebrate the enduring spirit that unites generations. It reaches into the very heart of who we are—and who we hope to become.

Christensen’s poignant exploration of Americana has recently earned international acclaim. 

American Storybook was honored with the 2026 Outstanding Literary Achievement Award from the International Impact Book Awards and received an Honorable Mention at the 2026 LA Book Festival.
