This event is presented by the Northern Black Hills Rotary Club and hosted by Crow Peak Brewing Co. to benefit the Spearfish Food Pantry.  Member of he Black Hills State University Choir will provide festive singing starting at 6:15pm.  Refreshments including hot cocoa, cider, and cookies will be provided.   

Please bring a donation of canned goods, ready-made meals, and/or cash for the Spearfish Food Pantry (credit card donations accepted).

Laurie Wince with Foundation for Health will present about the Foundation's mission to raise funds to promote and support the health and safety needs of our community through individuals, groups and health entities. She will include some history regarding the Foundation's development as medical care was originally provided in Deadwood for the Northern Black Hills.

Nicole Fronek, CEO of Two Horse Productions, will offer a workshop-style session demonstrating the benefits of performance coaching and career development. Topics to anticipate include Creative Solutioning in Leadership and Personal Branding. Related materials and handouts will be provided.

Yukari is spending two years in the International Student Office at Black Hills State University as part of a Jpanese government cultural exchange program. She is teaching classes in the Japanese language, calligraphy, demonstrating the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and other cultural subjects as well as presenting a Geek Speak program regarding the tsunami in Fukushima. She will also present programs to local Spearfish schools.

This is her second time living in the United States. She lived in Ohio as part of a Rotary Youth Exchange program.

In May, 2024, Channing and Alyssa Wagner took over ownership of Eagle Aviation; they now own the fixed base operations at the Black Hills Airport/Clyde Ice Field.   

“I’ve always loved aviation, I’ve always wanted to stay in it. We had a mutual friend who kind of told me about this area. The business was possibly, potentially for sale. The rest is history from there,” Channing said.

They’re hoping to preserve the legacy Ray and Laura Jilek built, in establishing the largest general aviation airport west of the Missouri River in South Dakota. That means working with the city, which owns the airport Eagle Aviation operates, to upgrade and maintain the airfield and its auxiliary facilities.
